| Tip #1 |
When preparing your car, don't trash all the bits and bobs. Lights, windscreens and seats etc.... can be sold. Do what this guy has done and sell them on TradeMe. He is making a fortune... Remember to mention Smashfest in your ad. |

| Tip #3 |
Remember, for safety reasons, each car is only permitted 18 litres of petrol at the start of the derby. However, DON'T go out there with just 5 litres in your tank and run out when you get into the final battle like someone we know. You know who you are..... |
| |
|
| Tip #4 |
Don't try and win the derby in the first 2 minutes and take out 50 other cars while you are trying. In the words of Richard Hilton "You don't need a college degree to do well in a derby, this is an endurance event". |
| |
|
| Tip #5 |
If you are a driver and have lots of friends, family, work mates and supporters that are coming to the event, or are someone that is coming to watch this spectacular show, don't miss out on your tickets. We sold out last year and had to turn 2000 people away. Don't let this be you.... you snooze, you lose. |

|
| Tip #6 |
Make sure you read the 'Rules & Specs' section. There are some changes to the rules..... For instance, a Neck Brace & Gloves are now compulsory, & any AC units must be degassed. |
