Air conditioning discharge question

Today I've read that all air conditioning systems must be discharged on demolition derby cars.
How do we do this please?

Can we just cut the belt and pipe or does the whole unit have to be removed?

It just says discharged so I'd say theres no need to remove the whole unit. This is new to us too, I'll do some research with SNZ and come back...

I am sure there is more than one way to skin a cat.... I would suggest taking it to a shop and have them discharge it, or search Google for your particular model car and the correct procedure that is suggested. At the end of the day, I would suggest at this point, it is up to your discretion, until we are advised further by SNZ.
